kyoto and nara were awesome! we went to lots of temples and shrines that are designated world heritage sites (even though several of them smelled like feet and sweat... i would recommend an autumn visit for anyone interested in these places).
i spent $6 on a cup of shaved ice. japan is bloody expensive!
right now i'm operating on a strange combination of day-quil AND ny-quil. that's what i get for mixing all of my pills up in one bag and taking them in the dark.
on thursday we leave for mount fuji, but for the next two days i'm hanging out with my latest host (yosuke), andrew (a monarch student), and yosuke's friend (yoshi).
1 shrimp taco at the mexico pavilion of the aichi expo... 700 yen!
350 mL of beer from the beer vending machine... 600 yen!
cruising through kawasaki with all of the windows down, no seatbelts, and "Hollaback Girl" blasting through the stereo system... priceless!

I think I would pay 1000 yen to watch you drink beer out of a beer vending machine.
